he was screaming "umma" to let me know he was ready to go outside with zachary's shoes, cream cheese, and juice.

i hate it when he raids the fridge. found a banana in my boot once. it really freaked me out.

our friend, tim, got arrow an awesome birthday gift!

i love the days when you take whatever you have in the fridge and make magic. this bokkeumbap hit the spot.

we hung out in our old-stomping grounds and visited our friends, travis & eunhye. i know that arrow's growing up, but being in their put-together apartment with arrow running bonkers and trying to touch everything, it was the first time that i realized our little guy is a wild & curious toddler.

 

and though i don't want arrow to grow up with his head in a phone/ipad/tv/whatever, there are moments it's helpful to have technology at our fingertips.

...i was able to devour 2 casablanca sandwiches. and since it's been about a year since i had one, you know i enjoyed every bite.

mother's day was perfect. a family lunch at an authentic chinese restaurant. and then relaxing by the han. hadn't been to the han since arrow was a baby....a place we'd go to a lot together. it brought back a lot of sweet memories...of the first year of motherhood. and so, it was fitting to be celebrating my second mother's day here.

we decided to top off the day with a boat ride.

 it was relaxing.

well, as relaxing as it can get with the little man.

and nothing says "umma" more than a 4-leaf clover.

in celebration of buddha's birthday.

it was our first time at the lantern festival. we knew that we wanted to check it out this year with arrow. and i'm happy we did. the crowds weren't as bad as i've heard and the lanterns made quite an impression on arrow.

when he woke up in the morning, his first words were "fotder. open. close."...referring to this big lotus flower lantern that opened and closed.

i was able to catch the dragon while on a bathroom break.

we had a good time with friends.

now i know one reason why he loves bin so much. sharing ice cream secretly must happen more than i know.

even the samsung building was looking spectacular.
